Girls' Revolution sub-unit 'Heathers' announce their Japanese "Shady Boy" debut!

After months of speculation, the rumored Girls' Revolution sub-unit has been confirmed!

Comprising of leader Tiffany Taeyeon and vocalist Kelly Park of the now-defunct Girls' Revolution, Heathers will make their official debut in Japan on August 7 with the release of their first single "Shady Boy".

The duo will also release their first full-length album 'Absolute First Album' on the same day.

Trina Villota, CEO of the Heathers' agency White Entertainment, had this so say about their comeback:

"Fans were disappointed when Girls' Revolution broke up, so we decided to create a special sub-unit to carry on the group's legacy."

"Tiffany and Kelly have been working hard for months to prepare for their debut. They've spent endless hours in the studio recording to ensure that their new music surpasses the quality of Girls' Revolution. They've trained hard in both singing and dancing to show a greater improvement in their upcoming live performances, so we ask that you please anticipate their debut."

"We will be targeting Japan first to avoid having to compete with Super Junior's 'Mr. Simple' promotions, but a Korean version of the Heathers 'Absolute First Album' is due out in the near future. We hope that the Korean fans can be patient while the Heathers undertake their Japanese activities."

To hype up fans for their debut, the Heathers have released several mysterious teaser photos that are guaranteed to shock with their dark imagery. In the pics, the Heathers can be seen posing in a dimly-lit bathroom; both of them are dressed provocatively in matching black mini-dresses, high heels, and suggestive blonde 'Britney Spears-style' hair.

The photos have sent netizens into a frenzy, causing debate and argument over their true meaning.

"These pictures are shocking to me. They must be planning to debut with a very edgy sound and style, but have they gone too far?" "Thank God they aren't going for a cute aegyo style. Heathers fighting!" and "I was a fan of Girls' Revolution, so I am very excited for the Heathers! I just hope one day they can all stand on the stage as three again."
