White Entertainment releases Tiffany Taeyeon 'Friday Night Fever' teaser and comeback details

After confirming last month that they would posthumously release Tiffany Taeyeon's debut album Friday Night Fever, White Entertainment has announced the official release details and unveiled an album teaser photo.

The image showcases a new side of the missing Tiffany, who is seen sporting fiery red hair as she strikes a glamorous pose next to a cute pink cupcake.

According to White Entertainment's Trina Villota, the concept of the teaser picture is "aegyo sexy pop-art", and was selected to highlight the musical diversity of Friday Night Fever.

After being pulled a week before its scheduled release due to Tiffany's shocking disappearance, the album is finally scheduled to be released on Monday the 2nd of July. According to White, the date was specifically selected so that Tiffany can compete directly against the comebacks of Super Junior, T-ara, and 2NE1.

In an official statement, Trina said: "Although Friday Night Fever contains an outdated disco concept and a very cheap booklet due to the bulk of Tiffany's album photoshoot being burned in a mysterious warehouse fire, we are confident that the album will still be able to compete with the year's biggest comebacks."

2NE1 will release "I Love You" on July 5th
She continued. "2NE1 have plagiarized from us once again, this time naming their comeback single "I Love You", which they copied from BAP&TIFFANY's top twenty smash hit of the same name. As revenge, we have timed Tiffany's posthumous comeback a few days prior to 2NE1's in a bid to overshadow them, as well as to successfully compete directly against Super Junior and T-ara, much like Secret did last year against Wonder Girls and Girls' Generation."

To help promote the album, White Entertainment will release the 'Trash Ver.' of Tiffany's "Do Da Disco" music video at midnight this Friday. The MV was filmed back in early January as a mini-drama, with direction from famous American filmmaker John Waters and a co-starring role from popular drag queen Nina Flowers. The star-studded 'Club Ver.' of the MV, featuring cameos from T-ara, Girls' Revolution, and rapper Simon D, will then be released on July 2nd to coincide with the album's release.

To further promote the album, White Entertainment will be enlisting their artists to perform Tiffany's songs on music programs, beginning with bandmate Suzy Sooyoung, who will promote the album's title track "Do Da Disco" on M! Countdown, Music Core, and Inkigayo.

Comments from netizens include, "That teaser is so cheap and confusing. It makes no sense for a disco concept" "Suzy won't be able to perform the "Do Da Disco" choreography very well, but at least she won't lip sync like Tiffany always does", "After T-ara helped White out with the TTYL album, shady White backstabs them by trying to make Tiffany compete against them on the charts", and "Dead! That teaser picture is a 2-year-old outtake from a CF shoot Tiffany did."
