[Exclusive] White Entertainment announce HUGE plans for 2012

2011 was both a turbulent & rewarding year for White Entertainment that saw the rise & fall of Girls’ Revolution, the imprisonment of ex CEO Park Su Kang, & individual success of its artists. The company, far from industry leaders, held steady thanks to the success of Jessica Jiyeon’s “Rocker Princess” - one of 2011’s biggest films, several lucrative endorsements for Tiffany Taeyeon, as well as success in Japan with Girls' Revolution sub unit Heathers.

Current co CEO KellyRose Spires took time out of her busy schedule to give AllKFlop an exclusive phone interview about the company’s future plans.

HyunA Cries her Heart Out in a Lovely Hanbok

Joining her fellow idols for this year's Chuseok greetings is White Entertainment's 'Supermodel Idol' HyunA Knowles, who put aside her controversial stage outfits for a traditional Korean Hanbok dress.

Speaking to reporters at The Geumgang Botanical Garden in Busan, the singer greeted, "Hello, this is HyunA Knowles. I hope everyone is with their families celebrating Chuseok. There's no better way to spend Chuseok than eating songpyeon in the living room with cousins. I will do my best to work harder and show improvements in many different areas, so please always support me."

2011 has been a tough year for singer, who debuted back in August with her first digital single "So Scandalous". Her music video was banned due to excessive kiss scenes and inappropriate outfits, which were deemed as "vulgar" and "harmful to Korea's youth" by the Ministry for Gender & Equality, and the song has struggled to crack the top 100 of the GAON charts.

HyunA stated, "There's a lot going on since my debut. When my music video was banned, I couldn't help but cry and cry all night long. Tiffany and Suzy unnies cheered me up and said that things like that happen; they said there's no need to look back all the time, and to put the bad things behind me and look forward."

She wiped her tears and continued, "It really helped me. Now, I'm ready to move on. I will show my fans a lot of improvements. I've been practicing my dancing and singing skills from early morning to late night everyday. I even had to have the IV drip once because I trained so hard, but Jessica unnie unplugged it and told me to get back to work. I promise I'll be back soon with a better image that you can't help but love it. Please anticipate it."

HyunA is currently busy with her "So Scandalous" promotions and working on her upcoming follow-up single. Keep an eye out for this sexy singer!

HyunA Knowles releases debut single "So Scandalous"

White Entertainment's newest artist, 'Supermodel Idol' HyunA Knowles, has just released her first digital single "So Scandalous"!

"So Scandalous" is an electronic dance song with a Hi-NRG beat, autotune, and dubstep, and it features Tiffany Taeyeon, Suzy Sooyoung, and Jessie Jiyeon of Girls' Revolution.

With HyunA's debut serving as one of the most anticipated of the year, Netizens have been quick to share their thoughts on her new single, commenting, "The production makes me wish I were old enough to go to a nightclub", "She's the same as Tiffany and Suzy -- another pretty girl who can't sing", and "I love the beat, but it's the lyrics that give me a good feeling in my pants."

The track is guaranteed to cause controversy thanks to it's raunchy lyrics, as well as its racy cover art, which depicts HyunA laying on her back in the front seat of a luxury car with her legs in the air.

Speaking about her provocative pose, HyunA told Star News: "I wanted fans to see a surprising color of my charms for my debut. Everyone thinks of me as just a stunning supermodel, which I am, but there's also much more to me than that, so it was important that I showcase a bold image to the public. Please support my debut by purchasing my song on Soribada, and cheering loudly for me on music programs."

Netizens have already been sharing HyunA's "So Scandalous" concept photos and cover art on popular online portals, commenting, "My mother won't like this picture, but I love it so I will hide it under my mattress", "HyunA is a classy supermodel, so if she does poses like this then I will too tomorrow at school," and "This is not the right way for a woman to behave, and I think she should be banned like Stellar were."

"So Scandalous" is available for purchase at all online retailers now.

White Entertainment unveil their new 'Supermodel Idol' HyunA Knowles!

Fledgling agency White Entertainment made a shock announcement today by revealing that they will be launching a new bi-racial female solo artist!

According to White, their new signee, HyunA Knowles, is a 19-year-old half-Korean, half-Indian model from New Delhi who will become the agency's first "Supermodel Idol".

In an official statement, White CEO Trina Villota said: "HyunA has been secretly training and preparing for her debut with us for the past year. She first came to my attention through her modelling work in India, and as soon as I saw her I knew that I had to sign her immediately."

"HyunA's exotic beauty is guaranteed to win over fans in the K-Pop industry, and we are confident that she will be one of the top rookie artists of 2011. In addition to her unique charm and looks, HyunA is also a skilled rapper, and we look forward to showing you her musical skills through her first single promotions."

"With HyunA's addition to the White Family, we will continue to build our reputation as the most culturally diverse agency in Korea with the most beautiful talent."

While White are keeping details of HyunA's first single a secret for now, they did reveal that it will be an electronic track that will show off the young star's unique colors.

Along with the announcement of HyunA's debut, White have released several official promotional photos. The photos show off HyunA's model charms, focusing on her long legs and slender figure, but some of the more provocative poses could ending up causing some controversy for the new singer.

Upon hearing the news of HyunA's upcoming debut, netizens comments, "Wow, she is truly stunning, but does she have any talent?", "I can't believe they signed an Indian, but as long as she isn't Caucasian I guess I am fine with it", "She reminds me of RaNia and Nine Muses, but a solo version."

While HyunA's ethnic background is bound to become a hot topic with netizens, she isn't actually the first Indian idol to debut this year; Alisha Budhrani of Pan-Asian girl group Blush is currently K-Pop's first South Asian star.

So AKF readers, what do you think of HyunA so far?

Suzy Sooyoung to make a "Freedom" comeback!

Former Girls' Revolution starlet Suzy Sooyoung will be making a comeback!

Hot on the heels of the announcement that her old bandmates Tiffany Taeyeon and Kelly Park have formed a new pop duo called the Heathers, White Entertainment have revealed that Suzy will be releasing a two-track single album sometime next week.

Speaking exclusively to AKF, White Entertainment said: "We wanted to ensure that Girls' Revolution's Korean fans did not feel left out by the Heathers' Japanese promotions, so we have secretly prepared a single release from Suzy to be sold exclusively in Korea."

"Suzy's single is a very special song titled "Freedom". It's about letting go of your insecurities and feeling empowered. Suzy hopes that the song's message will connect with fans everywhere and give them the confidence they need to deal with the stresses of their daily lives."

"As a songwriter and musician, Suzy worked closely with producers to create a song that would reflect her own personal tastes. "Freedom" is very different to anything in the market today, as it features influences from the underground 'dubstep' genre of music. "Freedom" will be paired with an exclusive B-side "Mouth Stains", which is a fast-paced and edgy electronic track with lots of auto-tune about confronting an unfaithful lover."

"Suzy has prepared a fresh concept to match her new music, and she looks forward to revealing it to her fans later this week."

Immediately after news of Suzy's comeback was made public, netizens flocked to our forums to share their thoughts on her impending return.

Netizens wrote, "I hope she continues the alternative sound of her first album 'The Muted Show'", "Yay, Suzy is back, but didn't Britney Spears already do dubstep?" and "I am so happy that Suzy will be doing electro music now, I think it will be a hit for her!"

Are you anticipating Suzy's comeback?

Girls' Revolution sub-unit 'Heathers' announce their Japanese "Shady Boy" debut!

After months of speculation, the rumored Girls' Revolution sub-unit has been confirmed!

Comprising of leader Tiffany Taeyeon and vocalist Kelly Park of the now-defunct Girls' Revolution, Heathers will make their official debut in Japan on August 7 with the release of their first single "Shady Boy".

The duo will also release their first full-length album 'Absolute First Album' on the same day.

Trina Villota, CEO of the Heathers' agency White Entertainment, had this so say about their comeback:

"Fans were disappointed when Girls' Revolution broke up, so we decided to create a special sub-unit to carry on the group's legacy."

"Tiffany and Kelly have been working hard for months to prepare for their debut. They've spent endless hours in the studio recording to ensure that their new music surpasses the quality of Girls' Revolution. They've trained hard in both singing and dancing to show a greater improvement in their upcoming live performances, so we ask that you please anticipate their debut."

"We will be targeting Japan first to avoid having to compete with Super Junior's 'Mr. Simple' promotions, but a Korean version of the Heathers 'Absolute First Album' is due out in the near future. We hope that the Korean fans can be patient while the Heathers undertake their Japanese activities."

To hype up fans for their debut, the Heathers have released several mysterious teaser photos that are guaranteed to shock with their dark imagery. In the pics, the Heathers can be seen posing in a dimly-lit bathroom; both of them are dressed provocatively in matching black mini-dresses, high heels, and suggestive blonde 'Britney Spears-style' hair.

The photos have sent netizens into a frenzy, causing debate and argument over their true meaning.

"These pictures are shocking to me. They must be planning to debut with a very edgy sound and style, but have they gone too far?" "Thank God they aren't going for a cute aegyo style. Heathers fighting!" and "I was a fan of Girls' Revolution, so I am very excited for the Heathers! I just hope one day they can all stand on the stage as three again."

Outrageous 'closed eyes' photo sends shockwaves through Korea

A new photo of former Girls' Revolution singers Tiffany Taeyeon and Suzy Sooyoung has rocked the K-Pop industry at its core, but it's not for the reason that you may think.

While fans were shocked to see the two frenemies spending time together again after their in-fighting originally caused Girls' Revolution to split, the photo is gaining the most attention for Suzy's curious 'eyes closed' pose, which has confused netizens throughout Korea.

"Why would she close her eyes in such a pretty photo?" netizens commented. "I don't understand this at all. She can't have had the sun in her eyes because Tiffany is posing properly, so it makes no sense for her to close her eyes in this manner." "Was Suzy sleepy? Her agency works her too hard."

News of the controversial photo has reportedly spread into the North, after insurgents were spotted smuggling several printed copies of the picture over the heavily-armed border.

Jamie Metzl, Executive Vice President of the Asia Society, tells AKF that the image will most likely be used as an anti-propaganda tool to battle North Korea's violent dictatorship.

"An image like this will serve as a vital tool in the fight for freedom in North Korea," says Metzl. "It shows North Korean citizens that it's OK to go against the norm and be individual, despite what your society or government may tell you. Even though Suzy's closed eyes may have been a simple mistake, the act in itself will look defiant when seen by North Korean citizens, and it may inspire them to start questioning the leadership in their country."

Netizens dig up footage of pre debut Girls' Revolution

Girls' Revolution recently had footage of their trainee days uncovered by netizens!

The video (shot in winter 2007) shows the talented teenage trio dancing to the hit song "Tell Me" by K-Pop giants, Wonder Girls.

Even at such a young age their star power was apparent, as well as maknae Suzy's aeygo (evidenced by her pigtails), leader Tiffany's charismatic style, & main vocalist Jessica's fierce determination. The video has reportedly left the Wonder Girls themselves stunned & appreciative of their peers.

Netizens chimed in with their thoughts. “Tiffany commanded my full attention!”, “Jessica looks so different here! Her surgeries really helped bring out her natural beauty.”, "Suzy's pigtails were adorable :}"

Quite the change from the fierce women we’re used to seeing!

Tila Caffarelli to become Suzy Sooyoung!

Teen idol and former Girls' Revolution member Tila Caffarelli has officially changed her name to Suzy Sooyoung.

Her agency White Entertainment said exclusively to AllKFlop:

"Fresh from her stay in rehab for exhaustion, Tila decided to leave the past behind and reinvent herself with a new grown-up image. She felt it was time to move on and start over with her life and career, and she promises to work twice as hard to win the love of her fans. Suzy asks that you please support her through this transition."

To prepare for her comeback, K-Pop's hottest maknae is on a special diet to get back to her old figure, consisting of no more than 1100 calories per day!

On forums, shocked Netizens have commented:

"why? her name was so unique before!", "I miss tila, oops suzy :P" , "suzy is the perfect name for a maknae ^^", "she has always been very skinny. Now I am scared she will go too far."

Tiffany Taeyeon holiday photo sparks anger from netizens

A new candid beach photo of former Girls' Revolution leader Tiffany Taeyeon became a hot topic over the weekend.

The photo shows Tiffany sporting a new vintage look, exposing her charms in a low-cut swimsuit as she relaxes on a mystery beach in Panama. After the photo leaked online this past weekend, it caused an angry reaction from netizens, who have questioned the star's work ethic.

"Why is she on a vacation? I thought she was meant to do a new album with Kelly."

"She looks pretty, but I am upset that she would go on a holiday and continue to push her new album back."

"Tiffany never works anymore. All she focuses on is inventing cute looks, but I am tired of it now."

Despite the negative reaction from certain netizens, the photo ranked No. 1 on search portals for two consecutive days, proving to be more popular than stories of 2NE1's Inkigayo return and Super Junior's "Mr. Simple" teaser photos.

Following the controversial reaction to the photo, AllKFlop contacted Tiffany's agency White Entertainment for an exclusive statement.

"Tiffany was feeling overwhelmed with the pressure of returning to music after such a long hiatus," said White co-CEO Trina Villota. "We thought it would be best to send her on a short holiday so she could rest and relax before her advancement into Japan with her bandmate Kelly Park. We did not intend for news of her holiday to get out, but we are grateful for your interest and ask that you please support Tiffany in her comeback."

While Tiffany enjoys her holiday, former Girls' Revolution vocalist Kelly Park has been working hard on several projects, including solo music, CFs, and even a movie.

"I can't just wait around for Tiffany," Kelly told AKF at the premiere of 'White: The Melody of the Curse' on Monday. "I have a movie coming out that I'm very excited about. It's still a secret, but please anticipate it."

So what do you think netizens? Are you still looking forward to Tiffany and Kelly's duo project, or do you want to see Kelly do more acting instead?
