Tiffany Taeyeon Announces New Film, "Confessions of a Slightly Single Shopaholic in Seoul"!

Tiffany Taeyeon is headed to the big screen! The polarizing pop diva has released the official poster and details of her theatrical feature film debut, Confessions of a Slightly Single Shopaholic in Seoul. The movie was jointly financed and produced by White Entertainment and Core Contents Media, and is described as a "lighthearted romantic comedy" that will appeal to fans of modern rom-com classics like The Devil Wears Prada, Never Been Kissed, and Beauty & the Briefcase.

Check out the official plot synopsis below.
Selena (played by Tiffany Taeyeon) was a small town girl with big dreams of becoming a Seoul city 'it' chick. After making the big move on her 18th birthday, Selena lands a job as a high-powered advertising executive and quickly settles into a glamorous new life of parties, fashion, and men. Now in her early twenties, Selena's juggling a shopping addiction, a wacky boss, and a shallow rock star boyfriend, and she couldn't be happier -- or so she thinks. When a family reunion calls Selena back to her hometown for the weekend, she reconnects with her childhood sweetheart, Lee (played by SPEED's Taewoon), a simple but charming farmer whose never seen a skyscraper in his life. Will Selena head back to the bright lights of the big city, or discover that home may just be where the heart is?
The movie also stars White Entertainment CEO Trina Villota as Selena's crazy boss, and Gangkiz sensation Hwang Jihyun as Selena's sultry rival. Hwang Jihyun's role was originally supposed to be played by T-ara's Qri, but the songstress was forced to drop out of the film after last year's bullying scandal. Other CCM artists from SPEED, THE SEEYA, and 5Dolls will also have minor parts in the film, and there's rumors that White's new artist "Peach Bomb" will also have a small role.

Speaking about her movie debut, Tiffany said: "The public knows me from my straight-to-Netflix movie, 'Death Wish VI,' and my iconic role in the hit K-drama, 'Busan Heights,' but now I want to gain wider recognition as a true movie star. 'Confessions of a Slightly Single Shopaholic in Seoul' isn't the type of film I would usually personally watch, but it's the kind of role that I know Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock would kill for if they were still young, so that's why I decided to take it. Please don't only see me as Tiffany Taeyeon the sex symbol, TV star, model, plane crash survivor, and pop icon -- I also want to be known as Tiffany Taeyeon the A-list movie actress."

The film opens nationwide next week, and will be preceded by an OST featuring the music of CCM and White Entertainment.

Netizens comments included: "Does Tiffany seriously think she can headline a movie on her own? This will flop hard," "So basically White and CCM bought their own movie to put their crappy artists in?" and "The plot sounds amazing and unique. I will definitely watch this."
