White Entertainment releases Tiffany Taeyeon 'Friday Night Fever' teaser and comeback details

After confirming last month that they would posthumously release Tiffany Taeyeon's debut album Friday Night Fever, White Entertainment has announced the official release details and unveiled an album teaser photo.

The image showcases a new side of the missing Tiffany, who is seen sporting fiery red hair as she strikes a glamorous pose next to a cute pink cupcake.

According to White Entertainment's Trina Villota, the concept of the teaser picture is "aegyo sexy pop-art", and was selected to highlight the musical diversity of Friday Night Fever.

After being pulled a week before its scheduled release due to Tiffany's shocking disappearance, the album is finally scheduled to be released on Monday the 2nd of July. According to White, the date was specifically selected so that Tiffany can compete directly against the comebacks of Super Junior, T-ara, and 2NE1.

In an official statement, Trina said: "Although Friday Night Fever contains an outdated disco concept and a very cheap booklet due to the bulk of Tiffany's album photoshoot being burned in a mysterious warehouse fire, we are confident that the album will still be able to compete with the year's biggest comebacks."

2NE1 will release "I Love You" on July 5th
She continued. "2NE1 have plagiarized from us once again, this time naming their comeback single "I Love You", which they copied from BAP&TIFFANY's top twenty smash hit of the same name. As revenge, we have timed Tiffany's posthumous comeback a few days prior to 2NE1's in a bid to overshadow them, as well as to successfully compete directly against Super Junior and T-ara, much like Secret did last year against Wonder Girls and Girls' Generation."

To help promote the album, White Entertainment will release the 'Trash Ver.' of Tiffany's "Do Da Disco" music video at midnight this Friday. The MV was filmed back in early January as a mini-drama, with direction from famous American filmmaker John Waters and a co-starring role from popular drag queen Nina Flowers. The star-studded 'Club Ver.' of the MV, featuring cameos from T-ara, Girls' Revolution, and rapper Simon D, will then be released on July 2nd to coincide with the album's release.

To further promote the album, White Entertainment will be enlisting their artists to perform Tiffany's songs on music programs, beginning with bandmate Suzy Sooyoung, who will promote the album's title track "Do Da Disco" on M! Countdown, Music Core, and Inkigayo.

Comments from netizens include, "That teaser is so cheap and confusing. It makes no sense for a disco concept" "Suzy won't be able to perform the "Do Da Disco" choreography very well, but at least she won't lip sync like Tiffany always does", "After T-ara helped White out with the TTYL album, shady White backstabs them by trying to make Tiffany compete against them on the charts", and "Dead! That teaser picture is a 2-year-old outtake from a CF shoot Tiffany did."

Suzy Sooyoung's Idol Investigations premieres to record breaking ratings!

Suzy enters the town of Quiet Hill in Idol Investigations

jTCB's new docu-drama series Idol Investigations debuted to record-breaking ratings earlier tonight. The two-hour premiere achieved a 3.2% share in the ratings, making it the highest-rated episode on jTCB since Queen Insoo scored a 1.183% last December.

The impressive debut has already solidified Idol Investigations as the network's new flagship series, leading many television analysts to speculate that Queen Insoo will no longer be renewed for another season so the network can invest more resources into Idol Investigations.

The first half of the show's premiere episode focused on leading lady Suzy Sooyoung as she set up her own private detective agency in Seoul, which included recruiting a staff of fellow idols to help her, but the drama and excitement amped up by the second hour when glamorous receptionist Sunhwa and geeky forensic investigator Boram got into an office argument after Sunhwa accused the T-ara starlet of treating her like a bimbo. The episode wasn't without its scares either, with Suzy and her partner Jang Hyun being stalked by a menacing car while investigating the haunted town of Quiet Hill for clues on Tiffany Taeyeon's disappearance.

The episode ends in a cliffhanger as the mystery driver
catches Suzy and threatens to run her over

Analysts are attributing the early success of the show to several factors, including the continued media attention around Tiffany Taeyeon, the show's unique premise, the respective fanbases of the main cast members, and the fact that TaeTiSeo's "OMG" was used as the show's opening theme, causing many Sone's to tune solely to support Girls' Generation.

Comments from netizens who turned in to watch the show included, "This show is so scripted, I can't believe they're trying to pass it off as reality", "I got so scared when they went to that haunted town because it proved ghosts really do exist", "It was easy to break ratings records on a flop channel like jTCB", and "I think Sunhwa overreacted when she screamed at Boram and made her cry, which also made me cry too."

Suzy Sooyoung to find missing bandmate in new reality series 'Idol Investigations'

Suzy Sooyoung in 'Idol Investigations' promotional poster
After teasing us with a series of mysterious trailers, struggling broadcasting network JTCB has officially announced it's new docu-drama series, Idol Investigations!

The groundbreaking new series will follow White Entertainment diva Suzy Sooyoung as she starts up her own private investigation agency and tries to find her bandmate Tiffany Taeyeon, who famously disappeared earlier this year when her plane vanished over the Bermuda Triangle.

At an official press conference for the show, JTCD described Idol Investigations as, "The Hills meets Twin Peaks", with a unique format that will take reality television to dizzying new heights.

"
Many people think that I've been doing nothing over the past few months," Suzy told anxious reporters at the show's official press conference. "But I've actually been secretly studying for my license as a private investigator. I had no choice after I saw how poorly the authorities were handling the search for Korea's lost angel, Tiffany Taeyeon. All I want to do is find my unnie and make a comeback, so when JTCB approached me with this exciting opportunity to document the investigation on prime time TV, I couldn't say no."

Joining Suzy in her search will be some of the country's top idols, who were personally selected for their unique skills and charms.

T-ara's Boram, who was also a friend of Tiffany's, will bring her hidden talents in the field of forensic investigation to the show.

"My parents never thought I'd make it as an artist," revealed a shy Boram at the press conference. "So they made me study forensic science while I was a trainee, just so I would have something to fall back on if my musical dreams didn't work out. I look forward to showing the public a new and intelligent side of myself through Idol Investigations."

Also working for Suzy will be Secret's Sunhwa, who lighten up the agency with her ditzy and feminine charms as the office receptionist and admin assistant.

Sunny Hill's Janghyun is the final confirmed cast member for the show. The 27-year-old will bring his military experience to the show by serving as the official muscle of Idol Investigations, helping Suzy out of sticky situations and acting as a possible love interest for the star.

The first episode of Idol Investigations premieres this Friday on JTCB. The network has already promised that the show will feature, "heart-stopping action, romance, edge-of-your-seat drama, and unexpected twists and turns", leading many to consider it as one of 2012's most anticipated new programs.

Netizens comments include, "Are they really trying to pass this off as reality? It sounds really scripted to me.", "Suzy is my favorite variety show idol, so I can't wait to see her back on TV!", and "Tiffany is missing?"
