Wi-Fi members J-Me and Ari appeared on the latest episode of SBS MTV’s Candid Encounter, where J-Me was asked about his experience as a member of the now defunct SM project group, Super Junior Juniors.
“Thirteen of us trained for pretty much two years straight.” he revealed “We all left school and attended classes at SME for an hour three times a week and trained in singing & dancing for up to sixteen hours a day sometimes. It was hard work but we became a close family during that time.”
When he was questioned on the recent debut of EXO K, which includes former Super Junior Juniors members Se Hun and Chanyeol, he had this to say:
“I’m not going to lie: it stings a bit. EXO are pretty much what Super Junior Juniors was meant to be, minus the Super Junior mentor concept. The fact that only a few SJJ members were kept and the rest were thrown away hurts but I don’t regret debuting with Wi-Fi. I was meant to be in this group.”
“I’m extremely happy for all of them regardless of the past. I’m also happy to be working with Se Hun again on “Rookie Uprising 4”. It should be a lot of fun!”
Netizens had this to say about J-Me’s confessions:
“Sixteen hours a day?? That’s too much for 14 & 15 year olds!”, “He’s better in Wi-Fi! They seem to be a more well-rounded group. At least all 5 can do it all!”, and “He sounds a bit bitter but at least he’s happy where he is and he wishes EXO K well.”
